FTC  is part of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) a global nonprofit organization dedicated to Inspiring young students and educating them about STEM. In FTC teams design, build, and program robots to compete head-to-head.

Meet Amphitrite, our latest masterpiece in robotics! We’ve poured our hearts and minds into designing this custom robot, and it truly stands out. With 22 meticulously crafted carbon fiber plates and countless 3D-printed PA6 carbon fiber components, it’s a lightweight marvel at just 22 lbs.

Before Amphitrite became a reality, we spent hours perfecting every detail using Computer-Aided Design (CAD). This helped us fine-tune its structure, ensuring it delivers top-notch performance and durability. Our 3D printing expertise played a huge role too, letting us fabricate precise and seamlessly integrated parts.
Here are some of Amphitrite’s standout features:
– A 430 RPM drivetrain that powers the robot with incredible speed and efficiency.
– A custom intake system tailored to pick up nearly any object on the field without breaking a sweat.
– An innovative linear rail differential system, making arm movements smooth and efficient without the need to rotate the entire robot.
– A 42-inch horizontal extension, giving Amphitrite the ability to reach far and wide.
– A vertical extension mechanism, adding even more versatility for tasks that require height.
– A highly advanced claw inspired by soft robotics and octopus tentacles, blending functionality with elegance.
– A differential wrist mechanism that doubles torque and speed while maintaining simplicity and center of mass.
Amphitrite represents the best of what our team has to offer. From the initial designs to the final assembly, we’ve put in endless effort, creativity, and precision to craft a robot that excels in every way possible. It’s not just a robot—it’s a testament to our team’s ingenuity and dedication!
